Students of the University of Maryland can sign up for a free account at http://umpsychology-paid.sona-systems.com/default.asp This site provides students with an array of paid psychology studies that they can participate in. The site is updated frequently with new studies, and is a great way to make a quick buck. The average study usually lasts about an hour and pays anywhere between $8-$15. Often times there are studies with the potential to make a lot more. Here are a few studies that are currently seeking participants: 1.  Language and Musical Training Study: 90 minutes/ $15 Study involves basic listening and reading tasks and a basic interview about your musical background (if applicable). Restrictions: Participant must be a native English speaker with less than 2 or more than 5 years of musical training. 2. It Pays to Remember: 60 minutes/ $15+ depending on performance Study involves memory recall exercises 3. Online Game Study: 30 minutes/ $10 each This study requires the participant to bring a friend and complete an online activity. 4. Studies of Social Cognition: 120 minutes/ $20 Study requires participant to make judgements on various images and videos. Restrictions: The participant cannot have any neurological or psychiatric conditions Most studies take place in the Bio-Psychology Building, located in between Stamp Student Union and Hornbake Library.
